Joint Pain (Arthritis) – Natural Remedies

by You Be Healthy

I had another question from a reader who was wanting to know what natural remedies she should use for arthritis pain.  My TCMD (Traditional Chinese MD), Jane, gave me some info today that will help with joint pain:

  • Bromelain (I am taking for my post knee surgery pain/inflammation and it is great!!)
  • Acupuncture (it works for everything for me…amazing!)
  • Cold water fish oil (Omega-3 fatty acids)
  • Celadrin Cream (here is the website – can get in health food stores)

Here is some information that I found in my handy “Prescription for Natural Cures” (James F. Balch, M.D. and Mark Stengler, N.D):

  • Avoid acid promoting foods which lead to inflammation (red meat, eggs, saturated fats, oils, fried foods, sugar, dairy, breads, alcohol, and caffeine)
  • Veggie juice detox is helpful in reducing  joint pain. Lemon and grapefruit juices are best.
  • Green drinks are great for detoxification.
  • Massage
