Well, I just came across the perfect solution to help meditation become a habit – the Chopra Center 21-Day Meditation Challenge! And it is free!  I am now enrolled and am looking forward to 21 days of guided meditation.  Studies have shown it takes 21 days of consistent behaviour to make something a habit which is why the challenge is 21 days.
